Game Rules and Regulations

 

Each participant agrees as follows:

 

1.Registration:

EARLY REGISTRATION BEGINS APRIL 1ST THROUGH MAY 21ST. All early registration

will take place by contacting CONTACTING RANDY 915-319-8232 , by logging onto http://gamerprize.wix.com/maddenprize and purchasing tickets on Event Brite. Reservations can also be made by contacting Jay at 210-695-0381 On-site registration will be at SPINNERS LIVE ON MAY 31ST FROM 930 TO 1045 AM prior to tournament

play. Registration fee is $100 on site and $100 online and includes entry to the Madden 25 single elimination tournament. BUYBACKS WILL BE 45

 

2. Eligibility and Limitations:

Everyone is eligible to participate. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult

 

3. Tournament Preparation:

A) Be prepared to play any of the regular season teams in Madden25.

B) There will be no consoles available for warm-up prior to competing.

C) It is the responsibility of the competitors to know how to play Madden25.

*The Tournament Organizers are not required to provide How-To-Play instructions*

 

4. Console and Game Settings:

A) All consoles & games will be supplied at the event. The X-BOX360 system

will be used throughout competition. PARTICIPANTS MAY USE OWN CONTROLLER!!

B) No cheats will be allowed, nor will the use of objects external to the controllers be allowed. Should a participant be caught cheating or using an external object, they will be immediately disqualified without refund.

C) Team Selection:

1. Once participant has entered the Tournament, such participant may play with any

one of the current 32 (thirty two) NFL teams. The all-time teams/ fantasy teams are

not allowed in the Tournament.

2. Judges will randomly decide which team is  home/away team.

d) Game Settings:

1. 3 MINUTE QUARTERS FOR ROUND ROBIN 4 MINUTES FOR PLAYOFFS

to championship

2. Skill: All Madden

3. Playbook: Any Madden

4. All other settings will default

5.  Updated rosters will be used

 

5. Schedule

A) Registration begins APRIL 1 2014 THROUGH MAY 21 2014. If any spots remain open, these will be filled on a first come, first serve basis the day of

the event.

B) Once the designated spots are filled, registration will be closed. Tournament Organizers reserve the right to alter the number of available slots at any time.

C) Participants should be available to play the entire day of Saturday May 31, 2014.

D) All tournament play will take place at SPINNERS LIVE Spinners Live 14106 N. IH-35 Austin, TX 78728

E) The “gaming pit” will be supervised by the “pit boss” or referee.

1) The “pit boss” will enforce all rules. Any dispute will be settled by the lead

Tournament Organizer and that decision will be considered the final and absolute.

 

6. Procedures

A) Tournament seeding will be determined in random fashion by Tournament Organizers.

Please be sure to check bracket for game time, participants’ responsibility. Valid identification

is required before each game. NO ID…NO PLAY!

B) The Tournament format is a 1 vs. 1 format.

C) Before each game of the Tournament, Judges will randomly decide which team is  home/away team.

D) This is a Single Elimination tournament. No pausing, delays or rewinds allowed. If you

do pause a game (using START button), then you must burn a timeout as a penalty. If you have

no timeouts left, you will be required to take a penalty (delay of game for offense, or off sides (for defense).

E) “Skunk Rule” is in effect. PLAY TO WIN!!

F) 4 man round robins will be in effect.

1) Everyone in each Individual Round Robin plays each other.

2) The 2 players with the best record advance to playoffs

3) The 2 players who are eliminated have the ooption to buyback into another Robin Round (IN THE CASE OF A TIE; THE POINT DIFFERENTIAL WILL BE USED)

4) NO FG/PUNT BLOCKING

5) NO QB WRAP OF ANY KIND

6) NO MANUALLY RUSHING

G) The winner of each round will be determined by highest point total and will advance to

the next round.

G) Participants must remain in the “gaming pit” until scoring notes are completed by “Judges”. Leaving the “gaming pit” before a completed game may result in disqualification.

H) Players have 5 MINUTES, upon notification that they’re next to play, to report to their

match or they will face immediate lose and/or elimination. We need to keep the event moving

in a timely fashion.

*RULE BREAKERS WILL BE DEALT WITH BY JUDGES ON A SITUATION BY SITUATION BASIS*

 

 

7. Tournament Conduct and Decisions

A) By participating in the Tournament, competitors agree to be bound by the decisions of the Tournament Organizers. Persons who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Tournament, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be

disqualified and/or asked to leave the event.

.

B) Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited.

Foul language of any kind will not be permitted or tolerated and may lead to disqualified and/or asked to leave the event.

 

 

8.  NO MEMORY CARDS OR SAVED GAMES ALLOWED.

A) Shaking, jiggling (looking left and right in rapid succession to shake the screen) is prohibited. Any other action designed to disrupt the opposing player’s view of the field, or ability to select controlled players, is prohibited.

B) All scores are final. Negative remarks to the Tournament Administrator or personnel of the Tournament Organizers will not be tolerated and may lead to disqualified and/or asked to leave the event.

C) The Tournament Organizers will interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the rules of the Tournament and the Tournament

Organizers’ decisions concerning such disputes will be final and absolute.

D) If the conduct or outcome of the Tournament is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control

of the Tournament Organizers, the Tournament Organizers reserve the right to terminate the

Tournament, or make such other decisions regarding the outcome as the Tournament

Organizers deem appropriate.

E) Any intentional distraction to the players while they are playing, including but not

limited to turning off the game, will result in immediate disqualification and may lead to disqualified and/or asked to leave the event.

F) Controllers will not be supplied by the Tournament Organizer. If a controller is defective, a player can pause the game and notify the “Judge”. If a player plays with a defective controller, all results are counted.

G) All decisions will be made by the Lead Tournament Organizers and are deemed final and absolute. The Tournament Organizers may waive any of these rules in their

sole discretion and/or may make determinations and rulings that are contrary to rules

in the spirit of fairness.

Authorization and Release:

The undersigned Applicant, for his or her heirs, assigns and legal representatives, releases, discharges and holds harmless the Tournament Organizers, Norris Conference Center, and all sponsors and their affiliates, their directors, officers, members, employees, staff, volunteers, agents and representatives from any liability for any events or consequences whatsoever and in any manner arising out of or related to Applicant's entry and/or participation in this tournament, including but not limited to personal injuries sustained by Applicant.

 

By entering the contest, all players consent to Sponsor's use of his or her name, photograph and/or likeness, address, voice, and statements made by the player, in any and all media now known or hereafter developed (including without limitation print, broadcast and internet), for all tournament

or business purposes including advertising and promotional activities without additional compensation, notice, or approval, unless prohibited by law.
